A final unit within the city’s leisure and cinema complex is back on the market.

Blog Preston can confirm talks over the final part of Animate have collapsed.

In December last year we reported the 10,000 square foot unit which is on the first floor next to Cosmo and above Argento Lounge was under offer.

But a new report going to the city’s full council meeting in April states it is now back on the market.

It remains classed as a ‘competitive socialising space’ – which would cover axe-throwing, laser tag, shuffleboard or any other indoor leisure activity.

A spokesperson for the city council told Blog Preston: “The property is on the market to let. We have had good interest in the unit but are looking for the right complementary tenant to join the scheme.

“The first floor unit is in a prime location ready for fit out and suitable for a variety of uses. The 10,000 sq ft unit is being marketed as a competitive social space and all enquiries are welcome.”

Blog Preston understands the previous offer was not for a competitive socialising space, and that alternative uses would be considered for the unit.
