Arson investigation as two cars destroyed in fire

An arson investigation is underway after two cars were set alight on a driveway in Ribbleton.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue spent an hour tackling the flames and no one was injured in the blaze at Linnea Drive, off Farringdon Lane.

Emergency services were called at 1.30am on Thursday (23 April) and found two cars well alight on the driveway of a property.

The fire was put out before the flames could spread to any nearby homes.

Both cars have been severely damaged in the fire.

A Preston Police spokesperson said an investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 0069 of 23 April.
