A Preston charity has paid tribute to their long-serving, now retiring chairman.

CancerHelp thanked Jonathan Gorick, who has helped out at the charity for 24 years.

He stepped down as chairman and played a pivotal role in supporting people and families through cancer diagnosis.

By offering counselling, therapies and practical support, the charity said Jonathan remained deeply committed to keeping the services accessible and free.

He said: “I have been incredibly proud to have been associated with the charity and have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with so many committed and talented individuals – Trustees, staff and volunteers.

“I can honestly say it has been an honour and a privilege to have been associated with CancerHelp.”

“I would like to say thank you to everyone associated with the charity for their hard work, commitment, and support.

“The charity is, in so many ways, a reflection of its staff, volunteers and supporters without whom CancerHelp would not exist”.

His contribution to the charity was celebrated earlier this month at an event.

The event invited long-standing supporters, volunteers and members of CancerHelp.
