The bail application of ten senior officials from the Molemole Municipality is expected to resume on Wednesday morning in the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court, west of Polokwane in Limpopo.

Municipal manager Emmanuel Makgatho and his co-accused were arrested over alleged corruption linked to the awarding of an IT tender valued at R38 million.

During previous court proceedings, affidavits from Makgatho and co-accused Bongani Mabasa were presented by the defence lawyer.

Makgatho and Mabasa want to be granted bail, stating that they are breadwinners and they are not flight risks.

The remaining accused are expected to begin their bail applications as proceedings continue.
