July Julay and The Mambo Kings will bring a night of Dominican rhythms to Preston this weekend.
Dubbed the UK’s premier Dominican salsa and bachata virtuoso, July Julay is known for sharing the authentic soul of Santo Domingo through high-energy performances.

He’s backed by The Mambo Kings, one of the UK’s most exciting live salsa bands, which features a full rhythm section, guitars and piano. The event at Chew’s Yard on Friday (24 April) also marks the band’s eighth birthday.

A spokesperson for Chew’s Yard said: “Since exploding on to the European scene, this Manchester-based master has dominated the genre, earning critical acclaim and award nominations for his album Sin Ningun Temor.
“Expect infectious rhythms, soaring vocals and a night of dancing that captures the spirit of live Dominican-inspired music.”
A Night of Dominican Rhythms with July Julay and The Mambo Kings takes place on Friday 24 April. Entry is £10 and tickets are available from Skiddle.
