A fire in a derelict building in Preston city centre is not currently under investigation, police have said.
Crews from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service were called to Orchard Street in Preston at 6.09pm on Wednesday evening (1 April).
The road was blocked while they tackled the fire and crews were in attendance for around an hour.

Police have confirmed that they are not involved in investigating the cause of the fire at this time.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 18:09 on the 1st April 2026 , three fire engines from Preston and Penwortham, along with one aerial ladder platform from Blackpool, attended an derelict building fire on Friargate in Preston.
“Firefighters used one hose reel jet, one triple extension ladder, and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.”
