One of the greatest days of the food calendar is arriving tomorrow, and a massive giveaway is taking over the country in celebration. That’s right, tomorrow (April 2) is National Burrito Day, and a popular chain of UK Mexican restaurants is celebrating by giving away 15,000 free burritos.
Tortilla is back for 2026 with its third annual National Burrito Day giveaway, and they’re giving away tons of free burritos – literally! With 15,000 free burritos up for grabs, that’s equivalent to over 7.5 metric tonnes of Mexican food. How’s that for a whopping giveaway?

How to get free burritos
Tortilla is giving away 15,000 free burritos across its restaurants, nationwide, on April 2 – for one day only. The giveaway is available to all Tortilla app members.
To claim your free burrito, all you have to do is download the Tortilla app and follow the steps to create a Burrito Society account. When you’ve done that, you’ll automatically receive a free burrito perk, which you can redeem at your nearest participating Tortilla.
The free burrito can take the form of a medium burrito, bowl, or salad. And guac, cheese sauce, and chorizo add-ons are included. That’s right, they’re not even charging extra for guac!
The giveaway will start at 3pm on April 2, 2026. But we recommend turning up early because there are sure to be queues. The offer is available at all participating Tortilla locations nationwide, while stocks last.
