Supermarket giant ASDA is rolling out a game-changing initiative across 700 of its stores across the country. As part of a new partnership with ME Group International, up to 700 Wash.ME self‑service laundry machines will be installed across Asda stores.
Launching next month, in May, you’ll find the new machines in Asda Supercentres, Superstores, supermarkets and Express sites. Each one has been installed with “large‑capacity 9kg and 20kg drums, energy‑efficient cycles and high‑speed drying”.
And sure, I know what you might be thinking. You’re wondering when you last visited the supermarket and thought to yourself, ‘I wish I could do my laundry here’. But the new machines will be extremely helpful to certain people – and you never know when you might be in a fix!
Using the self-service laundry machines
The machines are capable of doing regular household washes, as well as laundering larger items that don’t fit in typical household laundry machines. They’ll be available to use 24/7 at many locations, allowing flexible usage for many customers. This extends to people living in vans, or their cars, or without access to a laundry machine – or even just anyone whose machine has broken!
