Leader of the Afrika Mayibuye Movement, Floyd Shivambu, has announced that his party will be fielding all its candidates in South Africa’s over 4 800 wards ahead of the municipal elections.

Shivambu made the announcement during a media briefing in Sandton today.

The party used the opportunity to address challenges that the country is facing.

Shivambu says his party will soon host a local government summit and establish a local government task team that he says will outline how the party will govern should they win.

“We are going to field candidates in all 4 488 wards of South Africa and we will be having volunteers in all the 23 000 voting districts of South Africa, volunteers and party agents which will make sure that we oversee the elections much more clearly.”
