A young girl from Ashton-on-Ribble has taken on the Race for Life in memory of those her family have lost to cancer and to raise money for the charity.
Esmee Woodruff-Brown, aged nine, took on the challenge in Avenham Park on Saturday.
She has been participating in the Race for Life every year since she was four-years-old.

Esmee completed the 5k race in a speedy 38 minutes and has hit £180 of the £100 donation target.
She said: “I race to help raise money to try and save people with cancer. I love doing the obstacles and seeing loads of people join in.”

Esmee’s mother, Zoe Jayne Brown, said: “I’m so proud of my little girl wanting to do the Race For Life pretty much every year. This year she had a new challenge doing it at a different park filled with many hills.
“She tackled them so well and pushed herself to complete the race in a great time too, she was encouraging others while doing it which was so lovely.”
