Heatwave conditions are seeing changes to bin collection rounds in Preston and surrounding areas.
Council chiefs have warned residents to put their bins out earlier as crews are starting and finishing earlier to avoid the hottest parts of the day.
Most councils urge people to have their bins out by 7am on the day of collection but for the rest of this week that time is moving forward due to the heat with temperatures set to hit record-breaking June levels on Thursday (25 June).

A spokesperson for South Ribble Borough Council said: “Due to high temperatures today, our waste and recycling crews will be starting their rounds slightly earlier today to keep safe in the heat.
“Please make sure your bins are out by 6.30am, not 7.30am, on your collection day. We really appreciate your support in helping protect our teams in the heat.”
Wyre Council is asking people to ‘put your bins out at least an hour earlier than usual or the night before’.
And Ribble Valley Borough Council has also moved to a 6am start for bin crews.
