A family-run manufacturer has raised £1,710 for Derian House Children’s Hospice through various fundraising activities.
Kelmore Limited, who manufacture flooring and tiling products in Chorley, raised the funds with an aim to support seriously ill babies, children and young people across the North West.
Team members Emilia O’Connor and Mark Poole completed the Chorley 10K, while Gosia Michalik, Sarah Carmichael and Laura Boyd took on the Family 2K, along with Gosia and Sarah’s sons aged just 7 and 8.

Speaking about the importance of fundraising, Community Fundraiser at Derian House, Ellie Leavesley, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the team at Kelmore.
“Thank you to everyone who has taken part and contributed to this wonderful donation.
“Partnerships like this makes a real and lasting difference, helping us continue our work and reach more people who need us most.
“It costs £6m per year to run services at Derian House Children’s Hospice and we receive 30 per cent funding from statutory sources so we rely heavily on the generosity of teams like Kelmore to keep our doors open to our families.”
Two members from Kelmore’s dispatch team also completed a 10-mile Morecambe Bay Walk in April.
Andy Jones and Gary Heyn trekked from Arnside and finished in Grange-over-Sands.
The total raised through these activities, alongside donations from the business itself, totalled £1,710.50.
Speaking about the fundraising efforts, the Kelmore team said: “We’re incredibly proud of everyone who has taken part in these fundraising activities.
“Derian House is an amazing local charity that provides invaluable care and support to children and families across the region, and we’d like to thank everyone involved and all those who donated to this important cause.”
