Staff at Leyland Trucks have supported their colleague through a number of fundraising efforts for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Sarah Schofield, who works in the Material Department, was told last year that her husband Michael, has stage three bowel cancer and has since aimed to raise money for the charity helping him.
Her departmental colleagues have helped organise a bake sale, and Sarah completed the annual Walk in the Dark event to Royal Preston Hospital.

Sarah, from Charnock Richard, said: “Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my fundraising for Rosemere Cancer Foundation. My work colleagues have been especially generous.”
A generous donation from Leyland trucks boosted the raised funds to £5,588 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Sue Swire, fundraising manager for Rosemere Cancer Foundation visited Leyland Trucks to accept the donation on behalf of the charity.
She said “Our thanks to Sarah and her colleagues for this fantastic donation, which will go towards projects to support local bowel cancer patients.”
