Work colleagues from a Bamber Bridge company have raised over £4,000 through a 10km race.
Conception Design Associates Ltd (CDA Ltd) which specialises in commercial catering installation, raised the funds for Preston charity Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The team of six, which consisted of brothers director Lee Watson and Sam Burke,
Neban Nesser, Rhona Taylor, Maya Cawtherley and Evie Mrkalj, were inspired to take part in the Great Manchester 10km after Lee and Sam’s father Paul Burke was treated at the centre last year.

Paul is now in remission.
Director of the company and son of Paul Burke, Lee Watson said: “None of us are runners, but we all managed to finish in 60 to 75 minutes.
“We are very grateful to everyone who sponsored us.”

The CDA team weren’t the only one who ran for Rosemere, with a cancer centre radiographer running the event alongside her sister.
Sue Swire, fundraising manager for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, said: “Our thanks to the CDA team for this wonderful donation. We also had a number of other fundraising runners in the 10k and its sister half marathon. Among them was cancer centre radiographer Jennifer Pendelbury. Jennifer also ran the 10k alongside her sister Karen.
“We are very grateful to everyone who puts their bodies on the line for us by taking part in physical challenges to support our projects. It’s humbling.”
