Parkinson’s awareness brunch to be held at Deepdale

A national charity is to host a free brunch event aimed at the Preston Parkinson’s community.

Parkinsons UK will provide host the event on Saturday 4 July and information and advice will be available about the support in the local area.

A Q&A session from a specialist neuroscience dietician, exercise taster sessions and information stalls will be on offer at the Guild Lounge at Deepdale Stadium.

Helen Sturman, area development manager in the North West for Parkinson’s UK, said: “Being diagnosed with Parkinson’s can be a shock, and adapting to life with the condition can be hard for the person involved and their loved ones, too, especially when you’re still of working age.

“But we know that getting the right information and support at the right time can make all the difference.

“That’s why I’m proud we can offer this event to people across Lancashire living with Parkinson’s. If you would find the event useful, please do get in touch and book your free place. Family members and friends are welcome too.”

A free brunch will be provided for all attendees, and advance booking is required.
