Emergency services rush to Fishergate after rough sleeper found unresponsive

A man has been taken to hospital after being found unresponsive on Fishergate.

Crews from North West Ambulance Service, along with officers from Lancashire Constabulary, were called to Fishergate close to the Barclays bank at 8.41am on Sunday morning (19 July).

They found that a man, understood to be a rough sleeper, was unresponsive having suffered a suspected medical episode.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment.

A spokesperson for police said: “We were called to Fishergate in Preston at 8.41am today (19 July) following reports a man was unresponsive in the street.

“He has been taken to hospital for treatment, having suffered a suspected medical episode.”
