The Northern Young Adult Literary Festival (NYALitFest) returns this weekend.
The celebration of YA literature will take place on Saturday 11 July at the University of Lancashire’s Preston Campus.
The event will bring an array of authors, panel discussions, book signings, and creative makers under one roof.
Organisers Fox & Ink Books – formerly UCLan Publishing – say they have created a “diverse schedule designed to tap into every corner of the YA fandom, from dark urban fantasies to lighthearted romantic comedies.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and hear from prominent figures in the literary world, including Cynthia Murphy, Kate Weston, and Mina Ikemoto Ghosh. Ghosh will discuss her Japanese-inspired YA fantasy world, The Hellmakers, and share insights into her manga-style artwork and folklore.
In addition to the author panels and book signings, the festival marketplace will spotlight a selection of small businesses. Readers can explore vendor tables featuring hand-poured candles, custom bookmarks, fan art, and literary apparel. Book sales will be managed by local independent bookshop, Ebb & Flo.
