A twenty-four year old pharmacist has created an online platform to help people access ADHD assessments.
University of Lancashire graduate Zaid Bux created ADHD Gateway after seeing first-hand the increasing number of patients struggling with long waiting lists.
Since its launch, the platform has helped more than 12,000 people by providing clear information about NHS Right to Choose providers, referral pathways and ADHD assessments.

Zaid said he wanted to build a platform that could guide people through the referral journey from start to finish.
Despite having no software development background, he taught himself to build the website while continuing to work full-time as a pharmacist.
Zaid has created awareness around his platform on BBC Radio Lancashire earlier this month.
He has talked on both a local and national level about issues around ADHD waiting times in England.
“It was a privilege to be invited onto BBC Radio Lancashire to discuss an issue affecting so many people.
“Every day I speak to patients who are unsure where to turn or don’t realise they may have another NHS-funded option available to them. Raising awareness is one of the most important ways we can help people access support sooner.”
He added: “The response to ADHD Gateway has been incredible. Knowing that we’ve helped more than 12,000 people shows just how much demand there is for clear, reliable information.
“My aim has always been to make the referral process easier to understand and more accessible for everyone.”
