Ivor Novello Award winning singer songwriter and actor Self Esteem brought her new headline show to Cardiff Castle on Friday as part of a special run of live dates celebrating her third album, A Complicated Woman.
The artist, whose real name is Rebecca Lucy Taylor, headlined TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle, delivering one of the standout performances of this year’s summer concert series.

Widely regarded as one of the UK’s most exciting breakout stars of the past decade, Self Esteem took to the stage in front of fans at the historic city centre venue as part of her latest headline tour.
Joining her on the bill was songwriter, poet, playwright and recording artist Kae Tempest, who performed as the special guest, while spoken word artist Joshua Idehen opened the evening.
The Cardiff Castle summer season continues on Saturday (25 July) with the annual Depot in the Castle event, headlined by The Wombats. The line up also includes Sugababes, Red Rum Club, Ben Ellis, Afro Cluster, The Family Battenberg and Ian Davies.
