The death of a missing man from Bamber Bridge has ‘left a hole in the heart’ of his local pub.
Tributes have been paid to David Henry after Lancashire Police gave an update during Friday evening to say a body had been found in the search for the 45-year-old who had not been seen since Wednesday 15 July.
Beam and Brycg in Station Road posted: “Many of us at the Beam heard last night about the devastating passing of Dave Henry, whilst others have woken up to this heartbreaking news this morning.
“Dave was a kind and genuine man with a beautiful soul, who was loved and respected by so many. His passing has left a hole in the heart of the Beam which will never be filled.
“We would like to send our deepest condolences to all of Dave’s family and friends. Rest in eternal peace our friend. We ask that you please respect others in the coming days who are in mourning and raise a glass to Dave if you pop in. May God bless you Dave.”

A tribute is also to be paid at Bamber Bridge FC during Saturday afternoon as a minutes silence it to be held.
The friendly game versus Lostock St Gerards in the family funday fixture will see those at Irongate fall silent ahead of the 4pm kick-off.
Police say they were called to woodland off Shuttling Fields Lane in Bamber Bridge around 7pm on Friday evening to reports of a man’s body being discovered.
They say although formal identification is yet to take place they believe it to be David and his family have been informed and supported by officers.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner.
