Alleged crime boss Modack trial resumes in Western Cape High Court

The case of alleged underworld crime boss, Nafiz Modack is expected to resume in the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday.

Modack and 14 co-accused are facing more than 100 charges including money laundering, racketeering, extortion as well as the murder of anti-Gang Unit detective, Charl Kinnear in 2020.

One of the accused is due to continue testifying.

In May, the prosecution asked the court to exercise its powers and deem the defence’s case closed.

The state and the defense presented heads of argument in the Western Cape High Court.
