A community art group bringing together people aged from two to 103 is holding an exhibition in Penwortham.
The event – taking place at Penwortham United Reformed Church on Saturday 8 August from 2pm to 4pm – will showcase artwork created by members of the church’s Creative Connections group.
Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to enjoy a performance by the Penwortham URC Community Choir, while the Mayor of Penwortham is due to attend.
Creative Connections is one of several free activities organised by Penwortham URC to help bring people of all ages together, create friendships, and tackle loneliness and social isolation.

Alongside the art group, the church also runs a free community choir, art classes and music sessions for under-fives.
Katie Drew, Family Worker at Penwortham URC, said: “Creative Connections has become a great intergenerational group, with an age range of two to 103. An RAF veteran pilot, Stewart Taylor, is one of our members.
“We promote health and wellbeing through creativity, friendship and community and have also welcomed a number of local artists to lead workshops, including Joey Cobb, Emily Charlesworth and Georgia-Maia.”
