Cllr Suleman Sarwar, cabinet member for climate change at Preston City Council, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Preston’s first electric vehicle showcase to the city centre.

“Whether you’re interested in cutting costs, cleaner travel or simply learning more, Electric Preston is a great opportunity to explore the latest EVs and how they could fit into everyday life.

“This event is also about bringing practical climate action into the heart of our city, giving residents the opportunity to see the latest technology for themselves, ask questions and make informed choices.

“From family cars to business vehicles, there will be a wide range of models on display, alongside experts who can answer questions about charging, battery life and running costs.”

Some of the EVs set to be at the showcase include Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, MG and more.

There will also be opportunities for attendees to be informed on some affordable ways into EV ownership.

As well as EVs, there will also be advice and information on other energy efficiency schemes with Community Energy Preston in attendance to showcase local renewable energy projects.
