Delays of more than an hour are continuing on the M6 due to a morning rush hour crash.
A lorry and a car were involved in a crash which has damaged the central reservation.
Barrier repair works are ongoing at the scene near Junction 31 on both the northbound and southbound side.

Lancashire Police told Blog Preston the crash took place around 8.30am on Friday (7 August) with the car driver hitting the central reservation.
No injuries were reported to those involved and the motorway was shut in both directions while emergency services worked at the scene.
One lane is now closed in both directions for ongoing repairs.
National Highways North West said there were queues of more than four miles in both directions with delays of more than 45 minutes.
Delays are showing as beginning from Junction 32 on the southbound side and severe delays are being experienced on the M6 northbound starting at Junction 28 for Leyland. The M61 northbound is also busy from the Chorley junction up to where it meets the M6.
Preston itself is seeing heavy traffic on the A6 through the city, down Garstang Road to London Road, as motorists attempt to avoid the M6 congestion.
Delays are expected to continue through until Friday lunchtime.
