A man who had gone missing from Royal Preston Hospital with a ‘contagious health condition’ has been found.
The 51-year-old, Dean Hesketh, had last been seen on Tuesday 28 July.
During Thursday evening police released CCTV footage of his last known movements at the Fulwood-based hospital and urged the public not to approach him.
During Friday the appeal by police was extensively covered by national media.

An update from Lancashire Police on Saturday (1 August) said Dean had been found and the public were thanked for their help.
Police did not disclose what the health condition was.
