Presenting 12 apprentices with professional starter toolkits, Progress Housing Group is aiming to support the next generation of tradespeople.
The toolkits were provided with the support of the long-standing partner of Progress, C & W Berry, a builders’ merchant in Leyland.
Recently completing their work probationary periods, the apprentices joined Progress last year and received the toolkits in a special presentation on 11 July.

Senior repairs and maintenance manager at Progress Housing Group, Andy Baldwin, said: “This initiative is about giving our apprentices the best possible start in their careers.
“Thanks to the support of C & W Berry, each apprentice has received a professional toolkit that will help them continue developing their skills as they progress through their apprenticeship.

The partnership between Progress and C & W Berry has took place for over 18 years as both groups continue to support the future of trades work.

Initiatives such as this aim to battle the nation-wide shortage of skilled construction workers in the industry.
The toolkits provided will help apprentices to develop and improve as part of Progress Housing Group’s repairs and maintenance service.
