Following a summer of camps and pre-season friendlies, our local basketball team, Bristol Flyers, is ready for the 2066/27 season of Super League Basketball to begin. After coming in sixth place last season, the team are raring to go – with the hope of flying to the top of the league this time around. Season tipoff is September 18, and tickets are available now.

Bristol Flyers: Upcoming games for 2026
Bristol Flyers first match of the Super League Basketball season takes place on September 18, a home game against last season’s champions, London Lions – and we’re hoping the home advantage will send the London team back to the Big Smoke with dreams of copper(box) rather than gold this time around.
Ahead of the season tip-off, though, there are a couple of early September friendlies you can attend to cheer on the Flyers, including a face-off against Reading Rockets on September 11 and Surrey 89ers on September 13. Both are home games, so you won’t have to travel too far.

How to get to a Bristol Flyers game this season
Bristol Flyers’ home court is SGS College Arena, located in Stoke Gifford, Bristol. The arena is easily reachable via the 70 and 74 bus routes, disembarking at UWE French Campus, or via the 73 bus route, disembarking at Bradley Stoke.
Alternatively, the SGS College Arena is a 12-minute walk from Bristol Parkway rail station, and a 20-minute walk from Filton Abbey rail station.
If you’re travelling by car, the arena is located on the SGS College – WISE Campus just off Junction 1 of the M32.
