Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya’s defence has argued that the 16-year-old girl who is accusing Sibiya of sexual grooming, sent him X-rated videos of herself voluntarily without him having asked for it.

This was heard during day three of Sibiya’s bail application at the Randburg Magistrates Court, north of Johannesburg.
Sibiya’s attorney Amanda Nel says, “ZM, the complainant sent the applicant a video of herself. Do you see it? Yes I do …. So, she initiated it and volunteered it. I don’t see anything proceeding this that indicates the applicant asked for it. In my evidence that I have, it’s the 51-minute call.
