Flight Club Cardiff on St Mary Street is among the Flight Club venues across the UK hosting a free, walk-in darts challenge every Friday evening.
The Friday Night Challenge runs from 7:30pm to 8:30pm each Friday at all of Flight Club’s UK venues. It is free to enter and no booking is needed.
Each player gets three darts and one target, the bullseye. Flight Club’s camera technology measures how far each dart lands from the centre of the board, down to the millimetre, and adds the three distances together to give a score. At the end of the hour, the six closest players return to the oche for a final to decide that night’s winner.
Every venue crowns a winner each Friday, who receives a Flight Club medal.
The challenge is launching with an eight-week Red Bull takeover, which runs until Friday 20 November. During the takeover, weekly winners will also lift the Red Bull Trophy, and anyone who lands three bullseyes in a single turn will win a Red Bull Golden Ticket, worth two tickets to any Red Bull event of their choice in 2027. Flight Club said the Red Bull takeover is the first in a series of Friday Night Challenge takeovers, with more partners planned, each bringing its own Golden Ticket prize.
The company pointed to research by Zonal and CGA by NIQ, based on a survey of 5,000 British consumers in October 2025, which found that 73% prefer to visit the pub on a whim rather than book ahead.
Steve Moore, Founder and CEO of Flight Club, said: “Friday nights used to take care of themselves. Someone would say ‘one drink?’ after work, and four hours later you’d be wondering where the time went. We want that feeling back. You don’t need a booking, and you don’t need to be any good at darts. Three darts and a bit of nerve will do. When it came to finding someone to launch it with, there was only one name on the list. Nobody does a challenge quite like Red Bull.”
