Residents of Mangaung came out in numbers and packed the city hall in Bloemfontein, where Democratic Alliance (DA) federal leader Geordin Hill-Lewis was on his last leg of the Working for All tour.

Hill-Lewis, who is also a Mayor of Cape Town, interacted with party members who told him they want more sustainable jobs not temporary employment.

Some of the DA members had this to say.

“(If) can invite investors that will create sustainable jobs, not just EPWP that lasts for six months. We are here to advocate for investment and basic services, and that can only work with basic services that you and I, who pay for our rates and taxes,” says one of the members.

“We are looking forward to the DA taking over. We are tired of the corruption. So, we want to see the changes and what the way forward is,” says another member.
