Party members in the province have raised their dissatisfaction regarding the candidate list. The party failed to upload their candidates on the Independent Electoral Commission’s (IEC) Online Candidate Nomination System (OCNS), due to what they call technical glitches.
There is also a legal challenge that was lodged by ANC NEC Member, Andile Lungisa against party Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula, over his removal from the proportional representation candidate list.
The party’s NWC will conclude its visit on Wednesday.
Mokonyane spoke to SABC News while on a campaign trail in Ivory Park in Midrand.
“When the delegation comes back, the ANC will be having a proper reflection of what exactly is the situation there. We must be able to listen to the people. We must be able to share with the people the ANC processes, and we must be able to rise above issues of personalities and save what remains of the ANC,” says Mokonyane.
