Bolanle Austen-Peters, the producer of multiple award-winning movie, ’93 DAYS’ and director of the blockbuster high-grossing film ‘The Bling Lagosians’, announced her new film ‘The Man of God’ will be released on Netflix cinemas on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

The film, her first Netflix original, had its premiere at The Terra Kulture Arena last weekend and was followed by an after-party with the cast, friends, family and celebrity guests in attendance, all adorned in outfits in line with the ‘Heavenly Glam’ dress code.

‘Man of God’ is directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters under BAP Productions, a foremost Nigerian theatre and film production company and produced by Bolanle Austen-Peters, James Amuta and Joseph Umoibom.

The movie stars Akah Nnani, Osas Ighodaro, Dorcas Shola Fapson, Atlanta Bridget Johnson, Patrick Doyle, Jude Chukwuka, Eucharia Anunobi, Shawn Faqua, Mawuli Gavor, Olumide Oworu, BBNaija’s Prince Nelson Enwerem, and many others.

‘Man Of God’ tells the story of a man who forsakes his harsh religious upbringing to live his own life, but his soul remains caught between the world and the faith he left behind. Sam’s soul is trapped in two triangles. On one hand, three women vying for his heart and on the other, the love of God, lust for money, and harboured deep resentment for his father wrestling for his soul. What will be the ultimate fate of Sam’s soul?

Based loosely on the prodigal son’s story, ‘The Man Of God’ is dramatic, colourful, vibrant and suspense-filled.

Bolanle Austen-Peters, who recently secured the rights to produce a Biopic on the legendary Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti from the Estate of FRK, is renowned for producing multiple award-winning movies like ’93 DAYS’, ‘Man enough’.

Her recent movie ‘Collision Course’ was selected as the closing film at the just concluded 10th Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), outshining more than 4,000 movies from over 100 countries.

Bolanle Austen-Peters has also been nominated for Best Movie (West Africa) for Collision Course, Best Director (Movie) and Best Overall Movie at the eighth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) holding in May 2022.
