His popularity among fans across Africa is believed to have earned him the first runner-up position ahead of the four other finalists – Ebuka Chukwu, Motsatsii Wendy Madiba, Yvonne Godswill, and Ipeleng Selepe. The 23-year-old actor was followed by his love interest in the BBTitans house, Motsatsii Wendy Madiba, who became the second runner-up.

Kanaga Jnr has always been confident in his skills and ability to win the show. Although he did not win, he does not believe that it’s the end of the world. In an interview with Ebuka Obi Uchendu, Kanaga said, ‘Whether or not I got the money, I am still destined for greatness.’

BBTitans Ziyakhala Wahala which brought together 24 housemates – 12 housemates each from South Africa and Nigeria, started with the housemates playing individual games but soon turned into an intense time as housemates were paired by nationalities to keep the game balanced, some luckier than others had pairings and strategies that propelled them into the finals.

Although there were no fake evictions or riders like the other franchises, the Supreme Veto Power was still in place, as it gave Ipeleng three weeks straight in the house without nominations as she became the Supreme Veto Power holder. The win earned her a spot in the finals and gave her the power to choose another housemate to take to the finals. She chose Ebubu.

This left four spots for other housemates in the finals, and Kanaga Jnr made it to the top 2. It’s no surprise that he garnered lots of fans considering how fun and entertaining he was in the house. Right from the premiere stage, his fire dance moves, confidence, and style had endeared a lot of fans towards him, and going further into the show, his drive, talent, and contribution towards the house tasks had people wondering what more he was capable of.

On many occasions, the all-round creative has proven himself to be an innovative and talented actor and theatre artist. When Thabang and Kanaga Jnr orchestrated a fight between Olivia, Blue Aiva, and Thabang, aside from the ladies’ acting skills Kanaga Jnr’s believable special effect makeup of Nelisa’s injury had the house on the edge. He employed that same skill during the housemate acting tasks and ensured that they looked the part.

Aside from his skills, he was also a fierce competition. Kanaga Jnr became one of the best Head of House of the season as the housemates attested to the fact that his discipline rubbed off on them as they also went on to win their weekly wager task in his reign. He is also one of the highest-earning housemates, as he had three Friday night Arena games win, and also won other sponsored tasks.

He was not only winning in the house, but he was also winning outside as he gets to play one of the lead roles on the new season of MTV Shuga Nigeria – an edutainment show that creates awareness about HIV, as well as explores themes of gender-based violence and the effects of COVID-19.

Before this, he had featured in highly acclaimed Nollywood films. He featured in shows like Jenifa’s Diary and Netflix’s Far From Home.
