Growing Things: What to do when rude pruners chew through your cedars

Q: I live on an acreage near Sherwood Park and for the first time in over 25 years of residing here, a herd of deer are eating all the green ends on all my cedar bushes. One of them, which is about 2.5 metres tall, now looks somewhat rude as they’ve chewed as high as they can reach so it is much wider at the top all around than the two metres, you get the idea, LOL. I have applied a deer repellent spray but the damage has been done. What can I do to save these, and next year I will wrap them all in burlap if they survive. Read More
