People in Melbourne have felt the shakes of a rare earthquake on Sunday night.
Geoscience Australia said the 3.8-magnitude quake struck 3km deep in the northern suburb of Sunbury just before midnight.
Initially, the United States Geological Survey had recorded it as a 3.6-magnitude earthquake more than 9km deep.

Melbourne residents were quick to comment on social media about feeling the tremble, with many making light of how light the rumble was.
Seismologist Adam Pascale, from the Seismology Research Centre, said the quake "woke me up, got me out of bed".
Pascale said the data indicated it was a magnitude 4 quake, but said it was crucially the fact it was so shallow that made it relatively powerful as far as Melbourne earthquakes are concerned.
The quake was recorded as far away as an SRC site in Adelaide, Pascale said, albeit a very minor tremble that far from the epicentre.

He said it was potentially the largest in more than 100 years within the Melbourne metropolitan area.
"There could be some minor damage at the epicentre," he said.
The crowdsourcing site Earthquake Network recorded dozens of reports of people who felt the quake within a radius of 48km.
"Yep. We felt it too," the Victoria State Emergency Service posted on Twitter.
