Since Nigerian Idol Season Eight started, Ose Daniel has been one contestant that has consistently improved with his vocal performance and overall stage presence, and this week he takes it to another level with his performance of Adekunle Gold’s ‘High’ featuring Davido.

The showstoppers night, which gave us the iconic Progress ‘Bang Bang’ performance started with a bang at the live shows on Sunday, June 25, 2023, as Ose Daniel got a standing ovation for his theatrical performance. His vocals were not only stable throughout the show, but he also managed to dance effortlessly.

His performance was so exciting that Netng readers crowned him the best performer of the night in a Netng Twitter poll where he amassed 43% of the total votes.

After his performance, Goodness performed Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love,’ and for the first time in a while, she seemed to have struggled through the performance, and the judges were not the biggest fans.

Victory Gbakara brings back the energy as he performed Bruno Mars’ ‘Locked Out Of Heaven.’ Although he said he felt vulnerable giving the performance, he showcased a new side of him that the judges enjoyed especially his chest-popping dance move.

Another highlight of the night was Precious Mac’s performance as she channelled her inner bad girl for Clean Bandit’s ‘Rockabye.’ Simi, who seemed in awe of how she managed to shine in a performance with many dancers, praised her for always standing out with her performances.

This week, Quest puts her best foot forward as she raps a Kendrick Lamar verse and sings Beyonce’s ‘Freedom.’ Everyone was simply excited to see the performer side of the Idol. The Netng audience crowned her the second-best performer of the night as she amassed 25% of the total votes.

With two contestants set to leave the show next week as the housemates are tasked to perform two songs each, and the show is getting more intense. For now, the top five contestants of Nigerian Idol Season Eight are Ose Daniel, Precious Mac, Quest, and Victory Gbakara.
