A student of Deeper Life High School in Mowe, Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, the highest scorer in the 2023 University Matriculation Examination (UTME) has revealed the secrets to her resounding academic success.
Naija News reports that Umeh was named the highest-scoring candidate by the examination body after scoring 360 in aggregate, sweeping Chemistry with 99, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics, and 66 in English.
Speaking during an interview on Arise TV’s Morning Show, Kamsiyochukwu said consistent prayer was part of her preparation.
Apart from prayers, the student said she had enough time to study because she started preparing for the JAMB examination as soon as she made it to SS3.
Kamsiyochukwu said she studied an average of six hours daily while preparing for the examination and she got herself acquitted with several past questions.
She said, “The most special thing I did during my preparation was praying, I prayed a lot then I started studying early. I started preparation for the JAMB exam immediately after I entered ss3.
“I started reviewing past questions, reading my books and my school had lots of classes, tests, and re-test, just trying to get us prepared.
“We had mock examinations and I also familiarized myself with the kind of questions they can bring out. I made use of our prep times very well, I study like 6 hours every day”
