The Host, IK Osakioduwa, announced the results at the finale on Sunday, July 16, 2023, where the fast-rising star was crowned the winner after polling a large percentage of the 33 million total fans votes to defeat fellow finalist Precious Mac.

The duo had unarguably been one of the best performers of the season, and their last week of competitions further proved that they deserved the top spots as they gave a range of outstanding performances that left the judges and viewers speechless.

Victory is known for his onstage charisma and range. The judges love it, and the viewers are in love with how he carries everyone along with his performance.

The 24-year-old graduate of Law from Benson Idahosa University, Edo State, is a pastor’s son born into a family of six. Unlike most of the singers on the show, Victory was forced by his parents to start his journey into singing.

He said in an interview that his parents put him in the choir to monitor him because he was so stubborn, but at first, he was really bad at singing. Months and years of practice have led him to this stage of mastery, and he is confident in his abilities to deliver a show.

Weeks after, he has proved that he is indeed capable. The Delta State indigene who revealed that he came to Nigerian Idol to showcase his craft gets to not only take home a cash prize of 35 million naira but he gets a brand new SUV and a weekend getaway to Cape Town, South Africa, along other gifts from Bigi and DStv.

While trying to get into the competition, the lawyer, poet, and singer released his debut single ‘Sound.’ The track he released in May 2022 is a gospel track that is very on brand with the Idol’s artistic direction. With artistes like Mercy Chinwo making it big as gospel artistes after emerging as winners of the second season of Nigerian Idol, we are definitely on the lookout for the trajectory of Victory’s career.
