Five days after releasing a new single, ‘Belle Full’ with Victony, Crayon has released his debut album, ‘Trench To Triumph,’ featuring some of Nigeria’s biggest stars on Friday, July 21, 2023.
The 13-track album featuring acts like Ayra Starr, Oxlade, and Victony has since been met with positive feedback from his fans. One said, ‘Crayon outdid himself on this album.’ Fans are particularly praising him for his intro track ‘Calvary,’ which seems to have gathered interest.
Trench To Triumph includes his first hit single, ‘Ijo (Laba Laba),’ which has currently amassed over 30 million streams worldwide since its release in July 2022.
Crayon emerged into the limelight in 2019 after he was signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavins Record, which is home to some of Nigeria’s biggest music acts including Ladipoe, Ayra Starr, Rema, Johnny Drille, and more.
Since he emerged in the music space, he has released two highly acclaimed EPs, Cray Cray and Twelve A.M, with multiple hit singles, including Jackpot featuring Bella Shmurda, So Fine, and many more.
‘I want to say a big thank you to everybody who has been showing me support from my first EP to my second EP to Overdose, to Ijo Laba Laba to Won Da Mo,’ he said in a video made to appreciate the support he has received since he started his career.
Four years into his career, the fast-rising artiste has engrained his sound in the hearts of many with his distinct sound. We are definitely on the lookout for what more he has to offer.
