Three years after his emergence into the music industry, Jonzing Records’ Ruger has finally released his debut album, ‘Ru The World’ after releasing three successful EPs with hit singles like Snapchat, Dior, and more.
The 17-track album released on Friday, September 1, 2023, features a range of artistes, including American rapper Stefflon Don and music group Sauti Sol.
Asiwaju, which is the album’s title track, has amassed over 200 million streams worldwide since its release in November 2022. He followed up the single with Red Flags, another hit single that has amassed over 40 million streams in the same time frame.
Fans are quite enthusiastic about this project as some have termed his pen game as one of the best in the industry. One fan said, “The pen game is untouchable, like nobody can near his pen game! And the steeze is unmatched. Ruger is here to Ru The World abeg!” Another said, “Ru the world is a no-skip project.”
Since his emergence in 2021, the fast-rising star has been dropping back-to-back hit singles while selling out shows in and outside of Africa, Ru is ready to take over the world, but is the world ready to receive his sound? The success of this project would tell.
