When 20 adults are locked up in a space for 70 days, emotions are bound to become intense. Whether certain housemates have used this strategy to move further in the game or not, there’s a need for companionship in Big Brother’s house, and certain housemates have found it in each other.
From housemates like Cross and Kim, who have had a friendship outside of the house and eventually took their relationship to the next step in the Big Brother house, to housemates like Venita and Adekunle, who only met each other in the house, this season has given us ships that have had us glued to our screens.
Here are our top five BBNaija All Stars romances ranked.
Soma and Angel
Soma is known for his lover-boy tendencies. During BBNaija See Gobe, in two weeks, he had formed a ship with Gifty that had him in tears. Angel, on the other hand, is more lax when it comes to relationships. Surprisingly, this duo kept us at the edge of our seats with their chemistry.
From Angel’s unpredictability to Soma’s eviction theatrics, they were one duo that kept us locked to our screens with their drama and chemistry.
Adekunle and Venita
There are certain ships no one saw coming, and one of those ships is Adenita. Aside from their age gap, they both have opposing characters.
While their relationship was still stable, Venita and Adekunle were unarguably one of the most loyal partners. They gossiped together, ate together and made enemies together. Week in and week out, they kept us talking.
Ilebaye and Cross
Before Kim came into the house as Big Brother’s guest, Cross had formed a bond with Ilebaye. However, after every Saturday night party, their affection towards each other takes the back seat. At least, it was that way until Cross decided that Ilebaye was playing a game with his feelings.
The highlight of this ship was the side talks it attracted from other housemates.
Cross and Kim
Cross’ relationship with Kim rattled a lot of the housemates. In Cee-C’s words, he forgot about everyone that has been there for him and started following her around. His relationship with Kim also affected his friendship with Pere, who seemed to have feelings for Kim as well.
The drama we got because of this ship is second to none.
Whitemoney and Mercy
At the beginning of the show, Whitemoney had spoken to Mercy about a possible partnership, but she didn’t respond. Weeks after exploring her options with housemates like Kiddwaya, she decided to form an alliance.
Whitemoney had been her resident chef and confidant till he was evicted in the eighth week. We definitely loved them more individually than as partners.
