An early morning fatal crash on Highway 2 has closed a section of the road near Mitsue Gravel Pit Road, according to Slave Lake RCMP.
Mounties are asking people to avoid the area until further notice. An alternate route is being set up on Range Road 50A.
Police were called to a report of a crash between a vehicle and a cyclist, and are currently on scene investigating.
While police did not provide any information about those involved, they say they will be providing an update once the Highway reopens and more details become available.
