The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has deployed additional operational vehicles to Imo State ahead of its governorship election on November 11.
The Coordinating Deputy Inspector-General of Police for the election, Frank Mba, received the vehicles as he embarked on inspection and strategic deployments ahead of the polls.

IGP Deploys DIGs Habu Sani To Kogi, Sokari-Pedro To Bayelsa, Frank Mba To Imo
Meanwhile, Egbetokun has deployed three Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) to Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo States, ahead of the the governorship elections scheduled for November 11.
Naija News understands that the DIGs were deployed to oversee the security arrangements and ensure the elections run smoothly in the respective states.
They are the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Force Intelligence, DIG Habu Sani who is deployed to Kogi State; DIG Daniel Sokari-Pedro in charge of the Department of Information and Communication Technology deployed to Bayelsa State and DIG Frank Mba, DIG Department of Training and Development, who is deployed to oversee elections in Imo State.
The spokesman of the Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed this while briefing on police preparation in Abuja.
He stated that the IGP also ordered the deployment of an additional 220 operational vehicles to the three states while 5 Police helicopters and over 15 gunboats to be deployed for aerial patrols and waterways and riverine areas.
