An Adelaide cycling champion and mother-of-two has died after being hit by a car allegedly driven by her husband.
Melissa Dennis 32, was hit by a car last night in Medindie in the city's north. She was rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital but died.
Her husband, Rohan Dennis, was allegedly behind the wheel.

The 33-year-old former professional cyclist was later arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving without due care and endangering life.
The couple both recently retired from the sport.
Mr Dennis won stage two of the Tour Down Under earlier this year.
The Dennis' neighbour told 9News the pair had just moved into their Avenel Gardens Road home a week ago with their two young children.
Fellow neighbour Ayas Aslam said it was "tragic".
"We've never seen such a sight on this street. It was quite horrific to see," he said.
Residents said since the tragic death of Dr Michael Yung just a suburb over, they'd been more cautious, installing extra security in their homes.
Tributes online said what happened to Ms Dennis was "absolutely devastating".
"I feel for the children," one person said, and "rest in peace Melissa".
Mr Dennis was given bail, and set to face Adelaide Magistrates court on March 13.
