Aussie Margot Robbie has missed out on an acting Golden Globe for Barbie, but the film hasn't gone home empty-handed.

Robbie lost out to Emma Stone, who won the gong for Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Poor Things.

Barbie took home a trophy in a new category, Outstanding Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which Robbie dubbed "an award for movie fans".
