Ex-cyclone Lincoln will not re-form before hitting the coast of Western Australia, the Bureau of Meteorology said today.
However, a severe weather warning is still in place for parts of the Pilbara and Gascoyne coasts.
Ex-cyclone Lincoln had been lingering off the coast of Western Australia for several days, with the BoM giving it an 85 per cent chance of re-forming on the weekend.

However, just after 11.30am AWST today, the BoM said the system would remain a tropical low.
It's expected to hit the Gascoyne coast sometime tonight or early Sunday morning.
Damaging wind gusts peaking at 100km/hr are possible, developing along the far western Pilbara coast this afternoon before shifting to the coastal areas of the Gascoyne and northern Central West districts this evening and Sunday morning.

Heavy rainfall which may lead to flash flooding is expected.
Peak six-hourly rainfall totals between 40mm and 70mm are possible, leading to 24-hourly rainfall totals of 60mm to 80mm in the far western Pilbara, Gascoyne and northern Central West districts.
Isolated 24-hour falls up to 120mm are also possible.
Damaging wind gusts are expected to ease late Sunday morning while heavy rainfall is expected to continue and begin to ease during Sunday afternoon or early evening.
