"Come to the front door with nothing in your hands, open the door and exit."

Two men and a woman eventually surrendered following the half-hour siege as stunned neighbours watched on.

"All hell had broken loose down there and I could hear police trying to coax someone from inside," one nearby resident told 9News.

"It's scary actually because it's a good area," another said.

Meanwhile, another man had collapsed around the corner and was being helped by detectives just around the corner.

He was allegedly held hostage inside the home and beaten, threatened and tortured, possibly for several days.
