The music star will join the label service via his Cartel Music label and will be releasing his first single of 2024, ‘Wayo,’ via emPawa Africa.

“This strategic alliance with emPawa promises to be a game-changer for the African music industry and a beacon of opportunity for artistes. We look forward to seeing how this partnership will catalyse the growth of emPawa Africa, its artists and the broader African music ecosystem,” Tekno told Music In Africa.

In a statement released across his social media platforms, Mr Eazi revealed that the deal will usher in a new phase of emPawa Africa that will see the label service work with African artistes at different stages of their careers.

“(The deal will enable emPawa Africa work with African artistes) who want to maintain financial and creative freedom but even more importantly want to own a part of the company their IP is building,” he added.

With this deal, Tekno and Cartel Music will be joining Haitian DJ and record producer Michaël Brun as an investor in the music label service, which has platformed stars such as Joeboy, Major League DJz, Fave, King Promise, Minz and more.
