The Chorley Flower Show returns next month with brand new attractions and activities fresh for 2024.

The award-winning event in Astley Park will take place on Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July.

There will be a new range of activities and entertainment for all the family with distinct zones, to make it easier to navigate the attractions on offer.

A Family and Children’s Zone will be in place to enjoy craft sessions and a Chill Out Zone will be available for those who fancy somewhere to sit and relax for a while away from busy areas of the flower show.

Also, this year, each Chorley Flower Show ticket will provide entry into the Grade I listed Astley Hall.

Councillor Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council, said: “The Chorley Flower Show is the biggest event in our calendar and has grown bigger and better over the years.

“This year we’re bringing a fresh new layout with our new distinct zones, new entertainment, and even more things to do for all the family – including access to Astley Hall – so even if you been to the Flower Show before, I can guarantee you’ll have a brilliant new experience.

“I can’t wait to welcome thousands of visitors to the Chorley Flower Show 2024, its set to be a fantastic three days – get your tickets now!”

Event highlights include:

Pup Up Events: A brand new attraction for dog lovers who want their four-legged friend to enjoy the flower show, Pup Up Events will be on hand with a wealth of fun activities. Have a go at an agility course and have your photograph as you and your pooch enjoy a puppacino.

Lawn Games Galore: Challenge friends and family to larger-than-life versions of classic games like giant Jenga and Connect Four. The lawns of Astley Hall provide the ideal setting for a spot of friendly competition.

Children’s Craft Activities: Little ones can unleash their creativity with hands-on craft sessions. From making seed bombs to creating hand puppets, there’s something for every budding artist.

Adult Relaxing Craft Sessions: Need a break from the hustle and bustle? Join the relaxing craft sessions where adults can unwind while creating beautiful Jesmonite plant pots or learning how to paint botanical illustrations.

The Cafe Society Jazz Band: Get your toes tapping to the sounds of Dixieland jazz as The Cafe Society Jazz Band take to the stage. Their melodic tunes will create the perfect ambiance amidst the blooming flowers.

There will be performance art in abundance as a bubble artist weaves his way through the crowds creating magic with iridescent bubbles. Another addition sees Roald Dahl’s beloved tale The BFG come to life on stage, where you can follow Sophie and the Big Friendly Giant on their magical adventures.

Tickets are available online from the Chorley Flower Show website or at the gate on the day.
