Nigerian superstar musician Asake has announced that his third studio album will be released later this year. The artist, via his X handle, yesterday, dropped the dates for his upcoming “Lungu Boy World Tour,” which will kick off on July 29, 2024, with shows in Europe, America, and Australia, including a cheeky line about a new album on the way.

Asake’s upcoming album will be his third album in 3 years following the release of his debut album ‘Mr. Money With The Vibes’ in 2022, and his sophomore album ‘Work of Art’ in 2023.

While he came to the forefront of music lovers’ minds by dropping back-to-back hits, Asake has been relatively quiet in 2024. Since the release of ‘Only Me‘ on his birthday earlier this year, he has only featured on other people’s songs. He featured on ‘Bust Down’ by Zlatan, ‘Stubborn’ by Victony, ‘Good Bye’ on Ayra Star’s sophomore album ‘The Year I Turned 21’, and on ‘Get It Right’ from Tems’  recently released debut album ‘Born In The Wild’.

Asake’s Lungu Boy World Tour

The Lungu Boy tour will see Asake join the list of Nigerian artists including Davido and Burna Boy who have headlined the famous Madison Square Garden.

The tour will start with a headlining performance at Afronation on July 29, 2024, in Portmatio, followed by another headlining performance at the Wireless Festival in London. As part of the tour, Asake will headline at the Capital One Arena in Washington DC, State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Toyota Centre in Houston, and the famous Madison Square Garden in New York.

Other stops on the tour include the YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles, Zenith Arena in Paris, Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin, AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Palladium in Cologne, Sarena in Dublin, and Promiseland in Australia.
